£1 MAC Velvet Teddy dupe?!

Hey guys, first of all I'll apologise for not blogging in a while, I felt like I needed a break and I didn't have many post ideas, but today I'm back showing you my MAC Velvet Teddy dupe.

The dupe I've found is MUA's matte lipstick in the shade fawn fancy.

The MUA one is £1... Which is £14.50 cheaper than MAC's.
First of all, packing wise, MAC is always a winner with the sleek black bullet packaging. The MUA packaging does look quite cheap and is made of plastic but that doesn't change the lipstick quality.
Onto the colour, they are basically identical. Velvet teddy is just slightly darker, although the pigmentation of them both is the same.
The application of Velvet teddy is slightly smoother, and looks smother on the lips, whereas the MUA one is quite sticky to apply and can cling to dry lips. They both have a very matte finish.
Finally, the staying power of Velvet teddy is much better. It stays on the lips for a few hours, whereas the MUA one only lasts for around half an hour and it starts fading.
Overall, I think the MUA lipstick is a great one to buy first of all to test out the colour (which is what I bought it for) and then go on to buy MAC Velvet teddy.

I hope you all enjoyed this post!

MAC Brave

Hey guys! So today I'm going to be reviewing my Mac lipstick in the shade brave. I've done one other Mac lipstick review in the past which you can find here.

It's a lovely pinky nude shade, with a satin finish which is probably one my favourites. The colour makes it perfect for any time of the year, whether it's Summer or Winter, due to it being so versatile. This is such a wearable colour for day or night, and goes with a variety of eye makeup looks. It lasts on the lips for around 2 hours before it needs re applying. When applying it it's very creamy, and it dries fairly matte but with a slight glittery sheen, and it doesn't settle into the fine lines of your lips. It fades very well and evenly as it doesn't leave the awkward lines around the outsides of your lips like some do.
As always with Mac, the packaging is beautiful and very sophisticated.
Overall, I think this lipstick would suit anyone and it's a great one to have in your collection because of it being so versatile.

I hope you all enjoyed this post!

What I got for Christmas 2015!

Hey guys! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and new year! I know I'm quite late doing this post, but I wanted to enjoy my Christmas with my family. Also a lot of people on Twitter said they wanted this post, so I thought I'd do it, and I also love reading my own back after a few months. I've been really lucky this Christmas, and I'm so grateful to all of my friends and family for all of my presents, cards and to everyone else for the happy Christmas messages.

First of all from my parents I got 3 books I've wanted for ages: Vicky Pattison's 'a Christmass kiss' and 'All that glitters' and Gaz Beadle's autobiography. Can you tell I'm a fan of Geordie shore?! Haha.

I also got a beautiful rose gold Michael Kors watch which I've wanted for ages, and a phone case.

I got a lovely little River Island bag along with a matching purse!

One of my favourite presents from my parents was this lovely Pink tracksuit!

I also got this lovely Starbucks cup, and 3 pieces of fudge- the sea salted caramel tastes amazing!!

They also bought me some Mac products I've been wanting for ages: velvet teddy lipstick along with soar lip liner, and a nail varnish in the shade cocktail hour which is a beautiful glittery rose gold.

Finally from my parents I got a lovely photo frame and a set of bubble baths which all look amazing!!

In my stocking I got a battery toothbrush and some whitening tooth paste, some garnier micellar water, a body spray, a hair mask sachet, sprinkle of glitter's 2016 diary (which is so pretty!), some pens and sharpie highlighters, a nail soaking tray which I think will make taking nail varnish off so much easier, some feet warmer socks and a Victoria secret voucher which I was so happy about.

In my family secret Santa I got this really pretty Victoria secret makeup bag.

From my nan and grandad I got Zoella's rose gold toiletry bag, and her bath fizzers which I absolutely love the jar they're in!

I also got these lovely piglet pjs as I love piglet (they're from boohoo by the way!) Along with some fluffy socks and a black tangle teezer.

Next I got this makeup revolution brow kit, it has so many different products in, including brow stencils, so I know this will make my brow life easier!

I also got a pink hair dryer, which I couldn't take a photo of as the box is massive!

Finally from my nan and grandad I got this beautiful 'A' Pandora charm.

From my auntie, uncle and cousins, i got this body shop gift with a body butter and shower gel in the scent frosted cranberry, along with a glitter spray and some pug socks!

From one of my friends I got this lovely shopping funds money box, and a body shop sponge.

I also got some other things from other friends including a lot of chocolate which I didnt include as the post would be even longer and I've ate a lot of it!

I hope you've all enjoyed this post!

My Christmas wish list & Gift guide 2015

Hey guys, so today I thought I'd share with you my Christmas wish list. I thought this would also help some of you with ideas on what to get your friends, family, or even if your struggling on what to ask for yourself. I also did one of these posts last year, which you can find here.

Victoria Secret gift card
I absolutely love Victoria Secret; it's probably one of my favourite shops, but it's so expensive! So I'd really love a voucher so I can do a bit of shopping in there, haha!

Michael Kors watch
I've wanted a Michael Kors watch for a while now, I'm in love with the rose gold ones.

Zoella Beauty products
I already have a few items from both of Zoe's ranges, but I'd love some of her Christmas products: in particular the rose gold toiletry bag (I think it's clear now I have a thing for rose gold- haha!) I'd also like her bath fizzers, I love the cute jar they come in.

Benefit gift set
I think most of these are sold out now, but I only have one benefit product so I'd love to try some others, and I think the gift sets, in particular the selection box are a great way to do this.

MAC products
The only MAC products I own are 3 lipsticks, and I LOVE them! The colour selection for them is just amazing, I'd really like to try Velvet Teddy along with the Soar lip liner. I'd also love to try one of their nail varnishes, I was having a browse of their website and I saw a rose gold shade, named cocktail hour.

Clinique contour stick
I've recently started using some skincare products from Clinique, so what better time to try a makeup product, and I love the idea of a contour stick.

Dressing gown
I really want a super thick fluffy dressing gown that's really warm, and when I saw this one from Topshop, I fell in love!!

2016 Diary
I love Louise's aka Sprinkle of Glitter's diary, it's so pretty and I know it will help me get organised next year!

Tangle Teezer
I already have one of these, but for some reason there's loads of fluff in it- does anyone know how you get fluff in a hairbrush?!! But anyway I'd like a new fresh one, I really like the plain black one, or the pink and blue one!

Photo frames
I'd love some more of these as I love putting pictures up of different memories, and especially because this is my last year at school, I think I'll have loads of good memories to display!

I hope you've all enjoyed this post, and it's given you some ideas if your stuck for presents!
I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas :)

Clothes show 2015 haul // W7, NYX & Lee Stafford

Hey guys, so this year I visited the clothes show for the second time. I went last year and absolutely loved it, so I knew I had to go back this year. It's such a good experience for shopping: to try loads of different brands, some which I'd never heard of before, and to get things so much cheaper than in store, especially makeup! I bought a few bits, mainly makeup but also some hair care products.

Starting off with the makeup, I saw this stand called Peaches & Cream. I'd never heard of it before, but some of their products looked great, and were so affordable! I've needed an eyeshadow primer for a long time, so I thought I'd pick one up from here. I haven't used it yet, but for £3, I couldn't go wrong.

Next, I knew I needed to visit the NYX counter, as I can't seem to get hold of any NYX products in the UK, and I know they're really hyped about. First of all I picked up a butter gloss, in the shade sugar cookie. I think this is such a lovely name, and it sounds really festive. I can't work out if this is more of summer or winter shade, as it is kind of a dark, but at the same time bright purple shade! It's such a gorgeous colour, and I think it was around £4.

I also picked up the jumbo eye pencil in milk. This is one of their post hyped products, I can't wait to use it as a base for my eye makeup, or even to brighten my eyes up.

I saw the W7 brand, and this is another brand that is really hyped about in the beauty world, and I've never seen it in shops before. I stopped myself from buying anymore makeup products, so I bought this really cute little gift set, with a nail varnish and two little pots of glitter in, which I think will be great as a little Christmas gift or stocking filler as it was only £3!

Onto hair care, I visited the Lee Stafford stand. I've tried the hair mask for hair that never grows past a certain length, and I absolutely love it, it worked so well on my hair, so I knew I wanted to try some other products. All of the products were 4 for £12, which is absolutely amazing, as they are so much more expensive in Boots. First of all, I bought the CoCo LoCo shampoo and conditioner. This is made for silky, soft, shiny hair. It smells incredible, so I can't wait to start using them.

Finally, I picked up the oily roots, dry ends shampoo and conditioner. This describes my hair perfectly, so I thought I'd give it a go. The shampoo contains tea tree, so this is what will be helping the oily roots, and the conditioner contains Shea butter and keratin to nourish the ends of your hair.

Have you ever been to the Clothes show?
I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Autumn/Winter fashion favourites

Hey guys! Today I'm back sharing with you my Autumn fashion favourites.

Tartan scarf
I've been in love with these since last Autumn, and I try to 'pull them off' with every outfit- even if it doesn't always work haha! I have a red one but also a cream and orange one which is my new addition (featured in my 16th birthday haul) from ASOS. I think tartan scarves are great to brighten up or add a bit of colour to a dark outfit, without it looking summery!

Black Joni jeans
Joni jeans are the only jeans I actually wear. I don't like any other jeans! They fit perfectly, and the black ones are my favourite for Autumn.

Oversized jumpers
Oversized clothes are always more 'in' during the Autumn/Winter, especially oversized jumpers. This one is from topshop, its grey with some black writing, it's long sleeved, and it was £26. It's so soft and thick, and so comfortable for lazy days, but can also be dressed up with jeans, a tartan scarf and boots for going out.

Chelsea boots
I recently picked up my first pair of chelsea boots and I love them. Mine are from Primark and were £13, they have a small block heel, and they're slightly pointed at the toe. For £13 you can't go wrong, but don't wear them on a long day where you will be doing lots of walking (like I did in London) as you will end up with MASSIVE blisters, ouch!

Coat
The other day I ordered a black and white long coat/jacket from Boohoo for £30. It is a bit like a blazer as the black bit kind of folds over outwards if you understand what I mean?! I would have linked it so you could all see it, but it's not available anymore. Sorry I haven't provided a photo for this, because it's long it was extremely difficult to take a good photo of. It's so warm and thick, and looks fashionable at the same time so I love it.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Autumn nail picks

Hey guys, so today I'm here sharing with you my favourite Autumnal nail colours. I am literally a nail varnish hoarder, I just keep adding to my collection, oops! Therefore it was very difficult for me to narrow it down to these nail varnishes I've chosen!!

First of all, I have the Rimmel nail nurse. I use this as a base coat in winter, as it keeps my nail moisturised, but mainly when wearing dark colours, it prevents them from staining my nails. So this is an absolute life saver for me.

I've been loving the P.S matte top coat. This is from primark, and was only £1.50.  It makes your nails really matte, and it keeps the colour on your nails much longer. I've really been loving this in Autumn because I think dark nails look nicer when they're matte.

Now onto the colours, the first one I've been loving is a Rimmel lasting finish in the shade black cherries. This is a very dark berry colour it's always my go to when I don't know which colour to paint my nails during autumn.

Next I have one that I've recently added to my collection, it's Essie Bahama mama. I must admit, the name makes me think of a summer shade- anyone else agree? But anyway, this shade is my new favourite. It's my first Essie nail varnish and I'm already in love and looking for new ones to add to my collection. It glides on so well, and it's super smooth. Anyway about the colour, it's a berry kind of shade, but more of a mix between red and plum rather than just the plum! It's just an absolute must for Autumn!

I also love gold shades in Autumn, I've particularly been loving Barry M 289, gold. It's a bit like a top coat really, it looks great over red nails, or even on its own if you do plenty of layers. This would be great with red for Christmas!

Next is one from Maybelline in the shade wine shimmer. This was my favourite last Autumn/Winter, it's a great shade for Christmas parties. It's a reddish pink, with silver sparkles in.

Finally I have one from seventeen in the shade risky red. This is just an average red shade, it looks great in the Autumn/Winter paired with the gold one I talked about.

I hope you've all enjoyed this post, and it's given you some inspiration on your Autumn nails!
Do you have any of these nail varnishes?
